Paul Widener is the founding pastor of Son Rise. He served as pastor for 19 years. 

Jimmy Holloway has been our youth minister since 2018. He has led many youths to love the Lord.

Jimmy Holloway was appointed to serve as Son Rise Baptist Church's Youth Pastor in 2018.

The attributes that best describe Jimmy as a youth pastor are strong teaching, youth development, and counseling. He has expressed a burning desire to lead a youth group like Son Rise Baptist Church where biblical views are embraced and encouraged, with members who care about the needs of the youth. Jimmy takes worship and and leading his youth very seriously, spending many hours of his day focused on Bible study.

Jimmy is happily married to his wife, Shannon, who is a great asset to his ministry. They have four Children and one grandchild.

Glynda Williamson is one of the founding members of Son Rise Baptist and started the music program at that time. The attributes that best describe Glynda as a music minister are strong desire to please God with our music worship, choir member development, and godly attitude. She has expressed a burning desire to lead music at Son Rise Baptist Church where biblical views are embraced and encouraged, with members who care about the needs of others. Glynda takes worship and leading the choir very seriously, spending many hours of her day focused on Bible study and searching God’s will for the music program, Glynda is happily married to her husband, Tom, who is a great asset to her ministry.
